Banana bread to me it’s just one of those good comfort foods that I don’t feel guilty eating. Especially with this recipe with the rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg and bananas. It’s basically totally healthy, well as healthy as banana bread gets.

I have been using this recipe for years as I have tried others such as the Starbucks recipe, but those don’t include oats and have twice as much sugar. This one still tastes good and doesn’t have as much sugar, so I feel like I’m eating more of a bread, not a cake.
Here’s the ingredients
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/4 cups rolled oats
1/3 cup of oil
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 cup mashed bananas
3/4 cup sugar
Mix all of the ingredients together in your KitchenAid. I like to mix my wet ingredients first and then a separate bowl at my dry ingredients stir together to blend and then add to my wet ingredients.
Bake at 350° for 50 minutes

This makes one loaf. I typically double the recipe as it’s not much more work to double the ingredients and this way if you’re going somewhere, you can give one away or have plenty of banana bread for when company is coming over.
If you would like a free downloadable printable of this recipe, here you go:
If you make more than one loaf like I do, here is a link to these darling give away bread bags. They will fit a loaf and they look so nice! Much better than a plate with plastic wrap or foil. They are only $9.99 for 30, so not a huge expense here!
That’s it! This is a delicious and healthy recipe that I have found tastes so good and is filling. Enjoy warm with butter and mmmmm it's so good! I might’ve been there, I have certainly done that.
Xo,
Mama
