October 1 is finally here! Certainly, my favorite way to welcome the holiday season is with these that I cut out 15 years ago from black construction paper. No, I have been using the same bats for 15 years. I simply cut two different shaped bats out of black construction paper , which didn’t take very long at all and I use blue painters tape to adhere them to the wall. This way when I’m done there’s no residue left on my wall and it also comes right off of the construction paperback. Then I can store 50+ of these bats in a 1 gallon Ziploc to use the following year.
Here’s the impact it makes when you walk in :

I have two stairwells in my home so I put them going up boats as well as I add them to the kids rooms if they want them. The best thing about this Halloween decor, is it simple, very impactful and then when I take it down, I store it in a gallon Ziploc bag. It’s honestly the best.

Simply print and then use the template to cut your own!

Now simply use the painters tape to adhere to the wall. I like to cut a bunch of pieces at once to make the process quick and easy:

I absolutely love the holidays! Halloween kicks us off and decorating the home October 1 just gets things going to put us into a festive mood. The drawback of the holiday decor is that not only can get expensive but where do you store it? Things like these bats , give that big impact that I like but very little storage is needed. It’s kind of like the genie in the bottle. I might’ve been there and I do know that.
