Holiday sweaters and clothing easily organized and ready when you need it

ree

We all know that during the holiday season there’s gonna be that ugly sweater party that we get invited to. If it’s not us, it’s one of our kids or a friend who is frantically searching for something to wear and calls you to lend them something.

Pro tip: Enter the rolling rack.

If you read some of my other posts, particularly the one on dressing, your family for a holiday photos, you know I do love me a rolling rack. My rolling rack I bring out for the holidays, such as Valentine’s Day, Fourth of July, family photos, Halloween costumes, and Christmas attire.

I don’t go and buy new things at each holiday to wear. Think about it, Christmas colors don’t change. The plaids are timeless, and while you only wear them during one month, I’m a firm believer in buying a quality piece. I’m using it time and time again when that season rolls around.

The same goes for Fourth of July for example. A nice Ralph Lauren sweater with a USA flag on it, timeless! A pink Valentine’s Day top or a different array of easy costumes for Halloween ready to go such as the classic Napoleon dynamite shirt or any superhero shirt and cape.

Having a rolling rack and placing these holiday-themed outfits on an easily accessible rolling rack, will save you so much time and money, as you don’t need to scour through closets, holiday bins, or dash to the store for that last minute themed item.

Getting back to the Christmas rolling rack. I do not just put the Christmas sweaters on it, I also put the Christmas festive jammies, the scarves, hats and anything that is festive to wear to a holiday cookie swap, classroom party, gift exchange, or work party.

To store these items when not in use, they get packed away with the holiday bin they are associated with. Depending on the holiday, I simply put it in that holiday bin. Christmas clothes go with the Christmas stuff, Halloween costumes go with Halloween stuff, etc, etc.

So do yourself a favor, grab an expensive rolling rack that you will use over and over.

Here is an inexpensive, rolling rack from Amazon to get your organized holiday clothing ready. You can also purchase an inexpensive portable closet. (that is the rack that has a white encasement) Both you can find here:

The holidays, no matter which one it is, have themes. These themes don’t change. Christmas is filled with red and green or blue for Hanukkah, Valentines entails hearts and red and pink, the Fourth of July is filled with the American flag and USA gear in the red white and blue and Halloween is filled with black and orange and capes and costumes.

The wheel is not reinvented, so be ready. This little life hack has saved not only me so much time, but also my family when they are in a pinch for time. It’s also helped out their friends. I’ve been approached time and time again from my kids saying "mom, so and so is going to stop over to grab something off the rack." I love it! I love sharing what I have and making life easier for others. I also save money as I’m not last-minute shopping and can buy things on sale after the season. This is certainly a case of a little planning ahead goes a very long way. Do yourself a favor and buy the rolling rack. You will use it more than you ever know. I might’ve been there and I do know this.

XO,

Mama
